What do the enzymes in the NatureLeafs do?
We have used protease enzymes in our detergent for several reasons. F
Firstly they are naturally produced by plants and fungi and are good for the environment.
Secondly protease enzymes are extremely effective on common stain components such as food, grass and blood.
And finally, by adding protease enzymes to the laundry cloths, we have been able to develop a highly efficient and sustainable detergent, as a single protease enzyme is able to act on many substrate molecules (dirt).
The efficiency of protease enzymes means that we can omit the conventional chemical pollutants from our formula and offer a lightweight and highly efficient detergent.
Are the NatureLeafs certified biodegradable?
Yes, our fresh leaves are OECD-301B certified.
The OECD guidelines for the testing of chemicals are a collection of the most important and internationally recognised test methods used by governments, industry and independent laboratories to assess the safety of chemicals.
The OECD 301B test is an assessment of biodegradability over a period of 28 days in an aerobic environment.
In this way, we were able to ensure that our NatureLeafs dissolve and degrade quickly and cleanly in the environment.
